Fix - "An error occurred either in Outlook or SharePoint. Contact the SharePoint site administrator. HTTP 400." when Synching MOSS 2007 with Outlook

Today I chose the option to Synch with Outlook 2007 (on a Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 image) from one of my SharePoint calendars in the same Virtual PC). However, the calendar items were not appearing in the Outlook version of the calendar. When I clicked Send/Receive, I kept getting this error:

Task 'SharePoint' reported error (0x8000FFFF) : 'An error occurred either in Outlook or SharePoint. Contact the SharePoint site administrator. HTTP 400.'

The fix which worked for me is to stop the System Event Notification Service and Start it again
  1. At a command prompt, type "net stop sens" and Enter
  2. Then to restart it, type "net start sens".

Should the last line be:

2. Then to restart it, type "net start sens"

Correct - my typo. I've updated to read "net start sens"

Hi,
Unfortunately, this does not work for me. I still get an error message in Outlook when I try to synchronize my SharePoint calendars with Outlook. Please, read the error message below.

Task 'SharePoint' reported error (0x80004005): 'An error occurred either in Outlook or SharePoint. Contact the SharePoint site administrator.'

I have searched on Google without any success. Any comments are welcome.

Best regards
Robert

When I came from the Army.I saw that I received a lot of mails. But unfortunately a lot of mails were corrupted.I entered in the net and saw on a blog next program-recover outlook express dbx.It helped me in 30 seconds and free of cost.Besides utiltiy demonstrated how-analyzes all files of dbx format from Outlook Express root directory and unpacks messages, even if these files are infected or seriously damaged.

It's highly likely that there are items in the list that do not have start or end times. This causes a malformed calendar format which outlook chokes on.

I am a Microsoft Outlook user. Few days ago, I got an error in outlook. I was unable to open outlook. I tried Inbox repair tool to fix outlook file, but it could not help me. After that I contacted with Repair Outlook PST file. They are Outlook pst expert, they repaired my pst file.

Couple weeks ago I was the Internet and noticed there a lot of good tools. But yesterday I opened my my MS Outlook and was upset, because of some of them had been damaged. Luckily my friend came in my house and advised me - how to repair outlook file 2003. I used it and to my surprise the utility solved my problem for a minute and without money as I bore in mind.

I have installed Windows Live / MSN messenger successfully. I cannot open the program from the desktop or Start/Programme menu. A 'msnmsgr.exe - Application Error' box appears saying that the application failed to initialise properly (Oxc0000005). I hve repeated numerous times and re-started my computer but with no luck. Can someone explain in layman terms what I can do to rectify.. computers are relatively new to me so please explain so I can understand.
